Looking for Directors!

Hello, Spotlight Theatre Friends!

We are now accepting play and musical submissions for the 2019/20 Season!

This year, we are trying a somewhat new approach to our process.  We have gathered a list of shows we would like potential directors to consider submitting. We feel these pieces are well-suited to Spotlight for a variety of reasons, such as: content; cast size; ease of production; etc.  And we have selected them from all genres: classic dramas to contemporary comedies and everything in-between.

However, if you would like to submit a play or musical that is not on this list, you are more than welcome to do so.  We shall consider EVERY submission we receive.  We just ask that you use this list as a “jumping off point,” so you know in advance what types of productions we feel are best for Spotlight.

The plays and musicals we have pre-screened are as follows:

Buried Child by Sam Shepard – drama

The Children’s Hour by Lillian Hellman – drama

The Cocktail Party by T.S. Eliot – drama

Deathtrap by Ira Levin – thriller

A Delicate Balance by Edward Albee – drama
