7:30 pm – Social hour with music and refreshments,
followed by performances beginning no later than 8:30 pm
Contestant fee: $15 in advance online up to 7/31; $20 at the door
Admission is FREE for spectators and for those performing in duo scenes only.
Prepare your best Shakespeare monologue or sonnet to compete (2 minutes maximum). Costumes are not required, but are welcomed.
A limited # of slots will be available for two-person scenes (3 minutes max.) for performance only. Duo scenes will not be eligible for cash prizes.
A panel of judges will choose their favorite. Winner will receive a cash prize. Depending upon the number of contestants, there may be more than one winner.
Spotlight Theatre board members may perform monologues or duo scenes but will not be eligible for prizes.
